VIRTUAL TUTORING

Virtual tutoring sessions can be conducted using a variety of platforms (e.g., Google Meet, Zoom, WebEx). Initial conversations are usually scheduled to informally assess the needs of the learner and to establish objectives, measurable milestones, and overall expectations. Tutoring sessions are typically 60-90 minutes once or twice a week.  The goals and objectives of the tutoring should be re-evaluated regularly and modified, as appropriate. CStarsky currently offers tutoring packages focused on learning English as a foreign language (ESL/ELL), adult literacy, creative writing, and phonics.

VIRTUAL INSTRUCTOR-LED TRAINING (VILT) AND WORKSHOPS

 

Virtual Instructor-Led Training is delivered in a virtual or simulated environment. The instructor and learners are in separate locations. Instructors typically work with a producer to ensure the technology operates smoothly throughout the sessions. Virtual learning environments are designed to simulate the traditional classroom or learning experience with significant interaction built into the programs. Learners should interact with the instructor (using the online platform) every 3-5 minutes to keep them engaged; therefore, significant modifications may be required when taking a classroom-based event into a virtual learning environment. Producers can help move learners in and out of separate rooms to work on small group activities.

CStarsky has experience designing and delivering virtual lessons.  We can provide support designing facilitator manuals that include guidance for instructors and producers. Our support includes an experienced trainer to help train your instructors to make the transition to a virtual environment.  We can also provide a trainer for select topics.
